Hey, we live in an old vintage building (1899!) with an old plumbing system that requires some common sense and a little TLC to prevent the inconvenience of plumbing issues. Most of this should be common sense, but as a reminder:

NEVER FLUSH: paper towels, “disposable” toilet scrubbers, condoms, feminine products, latex, cardboard, etc… Our drains have also had incidents related to coffee grounds, kitty litter, and chunks of food which must be placed into your garbage, not the drains.

NEVER USE DRAIN CHEMICALS. They cause more damage than any temporary help they may provide.
